Our Conference

The North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS)  5th annual Minority Male Mentoring Conference has been cancelled.  The conferernce was scheduled to be held on April 7-9, 2009, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham (RTP), North Carolina. 
2008 Highlights
Last year's conference was full of many great activities and learning events that enhanced the growth of hundreds of minority males in North Carolina.  We invite you to view photographs taken at last years conference.  We know that it will exite you as well as prepare you for this year's exciting experience.
Awards
Program Coordinators representing the (6) North Carolina Community College Minority Male Mentoring Pilot programs were recognized during the conference for their outstanding contribution to the programs. Representatives from Durham CC, Johnston CC, Mitchell CC, Southeastern CC, Piedmont CC and Wayne CC received awards.
Call for 2009 Proposal
We are currently seeking proposals for breakout sessions. Workshop sessions should feature best practice strategies/programming, emphasizing the success of minority males in education and the workforce. Focus should be primarily on the role of minority males in education, workforce and communities.

Complete the Call for Proposal Form and return to Monty Hickman at the address indicated on the call for presentation proposals form or fax to (919) 807-7173. The deadline is September 12, 2008.
